I got all the sleep last night. All of it.
Yesterday we went to the market at Empalme. It's a real Mexican deal. We did see a few gringos, but we were 2 towns from where any gringos live. We saw fruit, lots and lots of shoes, new and used, we saw a lot of honey, there were lots of tools and clothes. We bought a sharpening stone, one of those metal kitchen scrubbers, a watermelon, and some sunglasses because I forgot mine. Then we walked around the moderately sized town. My mom needed to get some copies and my dad wanted his heart attatck pills, for the pump he always says. (going to the pharmacy is way different here, you go, ask for the meds you want, and they sell them to you, no perscription) Then we went to a bakery. Everything always is so pretty, but never tastes very good. Their flour is terrible, low protein, and they use whipped topping type stuff, all these imitation things. We also bought vegitables at a fruits and vegitables store. Getting on the bus to come home was where it all fell apart. We didn't know we couldn't het back on at the stop we got off at. I think it must be the end of the line and after the 3rd try, we figured it out and walked around the corner to the real stop. I'm off to eat breakfast, so I'll tell the go-go dancer story later.
