sweater crisis

I started a sweater on Sunday, and I like to have yardage goals, I was going to knit 110 yards of yarn a day, and I would be done in about a week. Then I decided the button placket wasn't looking good, and then I realized the neck is too big, and the sleeves were going to be a problem I thought, and so I'm going to rip it out. I just don't know what to do next. Try the pattern again? I want to reduce the neck by 25 stitches, and I would have to figure out how to put the stitches back in. And the sleeves would still be clunky. I could make a basic pullover, again; classic, easy, a little boring. I could make a cardigan, or a vest. What to do, what to do...
