The Young Victoria

I like when movies are good for everyone. Last night small E and I watched The Young Victoria, a period drama about Queen Victoria. It was great because it wasn't trashy; good for all ages. That's not the only reason, of course. The clothing was rich, the sets decadent. The story was also very good. Victoria's mother's adviser wants her to hand the throne to her mother until she is 25, but she refuses and becomes queen at 18. She marries prince Albert of Germany and though they struggle understanding their roles in their relationship and position, they begin to rule England together. She has 9 children in total, and he dies at an early age. She never stops mourning him and has the longest rule in England.
