elixer of life

in an attempt to stay in good heath this winter, Hollis has bestowed upon me the gift of kombucha. It seems this stuff goes in and out of fashion, it first hit my radar in about 2002 when a bunch of north end hippies were making it and my roommate was drinking it, at least I think she was. So for my birthday, I received some kombucha culture and I started the process. Yesterday one of my cultures tried to escape, as too much gas built up under it and it was bulging out of it's jar. Today I noticed a new culture forming on the surface, which is exciting and what is supposed to happen.
