adventure is in the air
I just saw my dear friend Catie off for her adventures in Korea. I turned my first heel with her outside of the now defunked downtown barStucks. She is my lamb sandwich partner. She would visit me at Puffy Mondaes and knit with me. We talked a lot about knitting patterns and watched the x-files on her loft bed that only left inches between the mattress and the ceiling. I am excited for her adventure, it really crept up on me, as these things so often do. Her husband, who went to Korea last week, informed her that their apartment is above a yarn shop; she was in a dither, not knowing if she would have access to yarn. I probably won't be able to visit them as they will be gone for less than a year and I have to try to graduate and apply for my own adventure in Japan. Ben passed the GRE with flying colors and they are planning law school for next fall, as well finishing up an art degree for Catie. I am looking forward to hearing about all their adventures. In the modern era communication can be so easy. They are going to blog, and they even have a local telephone number thanks to skype. I will miss them and their hospitality, but onward and upward! Cheers to you both!
