MAKE and jet setting are engaging in what I am going to call blogersation. I'm glad I put it out there.
So this morning I got up and the lunch making went better since a lot of it was already done. I decided what to put in, did a little bit of arranging and last minuet type stuff, and it was good. As for making the rice ahead of time: first off I made too much. I don't know why I thought I needed so much, so I am going to take the jet setting advice and make fried rice. Secondly I shouldn't have made what I thought was 5 days worth in the first place. 2 will be better. The microwave made things feel fine, texture that is. I am going to grill my onigiri tomorrow; I don't need much lunch tomorrow, it will be more of a snack.
Jet setting also made a comment about stir frying vegtables. Here are my 2 cents: I use olive oil and sesame oils. I start with onion and garlic, being careful not to scorch the garlic. Then I add vegtables by order of hardest ones go in first, which for me is usually carrots. Then softer next. Then I pour in some water from the kettle and cover the pan for just a little to steam everything, getting the soft vegtables tender-crisp, and the colours really pop after a quick steam.
