so after so much vomiting, things just get funny. I am staying with friends, a family of 6. Everyone has been sick, with the exception of yours truly, I was sick in SLC. I keep hoping that I won't get it here, too, but you never know. My little friend Kit was puking this evening. She got a worried look on her face, and her mother yelled, "Run!" So she took off for the bathroom. She started projectile vomiting about half way to the W.C. and looked back to her mother, who told her, "Keep going!" and was frantically waving her arms. Kit left at least 15 feet of gore in her wake, with barf all down the front of her night gown. Then she got back into bed, a little green, and continued drawing on her Christmas note pad.
Before all this happened, I went over to Small e's house for a cup of coffee. Her oldest child was having what I think was a pre-puberty melt down. She had taken all of her books out of her room and was throwing them one by one into the kitchen trash, proclaiming that Santa just makes you think last years gifts are crap by bringing new ones. Then she sat down on the floor in a puddle and her mom asked her if she wanted to watch a movie. That pushed her closer to the edge, she got agitated and said very emphatically no. Her mom told her to go get in her bed and she would bring in a new dvd that she had never seen. She then sat in bed, drank hot chocolate, ate her Christmas candy, watched Newsies and reported that she felt much better. A girl after my own heart.
