doom and gloom

After I took down the Christmas decorations, I felt a little sad. I have never really been one to decorate, but I've been more into it since coming here. A book I've been reading about dealing with culture shock advises expats to make their homes as comfortable as possible because it us a refuge from the foreign world. I decided to decorate for St. Valentine's day. It looks a little like an 8th grade dance, but it's cheerful, so it's keeping me in good cheer.
