washing washing washing

today Keren helped me through washing the fleece, and I think I got about half of it done. Fleece has natural oil on it, a wax really. Hot hot water and detergent get rid of that wax. We washed it in the washing machine in batches. I did 2 today and will have to go back and do 2 more. We have a front load washer, so doing it here won't work. It's amazing how white it turns because the lanolin has a yellow color. Tomorrow I will start carding it, and then on to yarn! I have been spinning everyday, and just took some great orange off the bobbin that I am excited to knit!
