the season of making

let me tell you a little bit about my summer job. I am working at the beautiful Bread and Ocean bakery and restaurant. On the days that I help my friend Cassidy bake all the beautiful breads and rolls, I arrive at 3:30. AM. It's early. On the days that I do the dishes, I don't get there until 8:00 am. At least that is how it has worked so far. In my first 3 days of baking I have already learned so much, and I can make a better cinnamon roll than ever before! Also, I can shape dough into round and oval loaves that don't require a pan and that have a beautiful shape and top. It is a joy to 'learn and earn' on the coast during a lovely time of year. And today is my day off. I slept in untill about 6:00am, which was fantastic, and I went to bet at 9:15, so I got all the sleep. And on these 2 glorious days off, I am spinning yarn and dying fibre. I bought some roving at Puffy Mondaes before I left. It had been dyed some boring light Easter colours, and so I am overdying those today. I'm really excited for them. I will post a snapshot when they are dry.
I think I might go exploring today as well. The thrifting here is fabulous, and I am on the hunt for an electric kettle.
